my (not really) new obsession...

i'd like to say that my new obsession is that i'm running high upon a deep depression, and although this may be true, you would probably be bored to death with that. and by you i mean the imaginary person that reads my blog.

but i digress. what i've been obsessing over for a while is omegle, a website that connects you to freaks, weirdos, pervs, awesome people, strangers. you can talk to random people from all over the world either in text or through webcam. i used to hang out all the time on the text feature, but then i found a webcam in the depths of my closet (yeah its gay, i'm really supportive of our little webcam) and i switched over to cam.

there are obviously pros and cons to both methods

pros

text
  • complete anonymity
  • no penises
  • you can make weird faces at your computer and suffer no consequences
  • etc
cam
  • you can see the other person
  • people can admire your looks/clever ideas to show on cam
  • you can actually express yourself through movement/facial expressions and the other person too.

cons

text
  • you could be talking to creepy people posing as awesome people and you'd never know
  • 10000000000 conversations consisting of "hey" "hi" "asl"... get really boring
cam
  • way too many dicks. ewwww (btw i'm not a prude, i just don't want your junk in my computer)
  • people can pass on you based on 2 seconds of looking at your face... which tends to not be so good for your self esteem

However, it is still an extremely entertaining hobby and if you're feeling adventurous or bored then its the place for you. for every million bad conversations there will be an awesome one or you could find a hot guy/girl/whatever-floats-your-boat to have some nsfw fun (which is what half the people that are on there look for anyway). and if you ever meet me, i have 2 things to request from you: spell colombia with an o, and don't try to show me your dick or make me horny, its not the reason why i'm on. but honestly please guys do ask if someone wants to see you naked before appearing online, most of the time no one wants to see it.

So give it a try, tell me if you like it/hate it/think i'm extremely weird to like this, whatever.

Never really liked forever the sickest kids.

that is a really long name. holy fuck it is. but let me get to the point. i never really got into the whole ftsk aesthetic/sound. i in fact had forgotten about them but i was reading up on my stuff you will hate and andrew "garbage day" miller decided to comment on how much he hated them and went on to describe a mildly amusing video. this, i decided would cure me of my boredom!

so anyway i went on to youtube to watch the video, against my instincts. and then i discovered that bot GD and my original suspicions were right, ftsk are no good. in my honest opinion, they kinda suck... ok no, that's too strong, they're just ok, i mean i wouldn't kill anyone if they were played on the radio, and i wouldn't go listen to them willingly again. kinda forgettable too: their sounds have already been drowned by the music in my ears. and the video, could have been cool like that red hot chili peppers video for their song dani california which i always found entertaining but now i can't find to link here, and i'm too lazy too keep looking for it.

overall, not what i wish had happened. even some deep hatred for ftsk would have been better but whatever.

theWAREHOUSE comic

Stick figures? check.
Funny? check.
Awesome? check.

the Warehouse comics have all I need in a balanced breakfast... I mean in a webcomic. It's quirky it's funny and it's one of the first places I look when I go online. I love just looking at the newest update when I just need a bit of fun and distraction or looking through the archives when I really need entertainment (yeah I'm a nerd and I look at the previous posts of almost every website I go to, so what). Plus, the characters are super endearing. I <3 Charles the Raver (Wish for everybody to be awesomepants awwww :) )

Anyways, go check it out, it's pretty darn cool.

VH1? More like VHDumb...

Okay, I apologize for that title, I know it's stupid but hey, I couldn't think of anything else. I have been watching some of their shows online for a while and I was really happy. They were pretty much the only ones that allow people to watch some of their shows online! Complete episodes online from the original source! Also, Bonus Material! How awesome is that? But it didn't stop there, I could watch it from outside the US! How fucking great! Right?!

Right?!

Wrong.

These stupid people decided to block me out after watching 10 episodes of Daisy of Love (I'm not ashamed of that but I'll get into further details on another post), maybe they hadn't noticed little me watching it all this time and just realized that they weren't blocking me out.

Anyways, I now have to wait a long time for VH1 in Colombia to show it or a slightly shorter amount of time for the cool guys at some other sites to upload the latest episodes. So all I have to say is thank you VH1 for taking from me all that trashy, ridiculously entertaining goodness. Morons.

Oh and thank you internets for letting me watch the shows that the original networks won't let me have!

WTSO

A good way to spend time online is by watching good shows without having to pay for them. Am I right? Of course I am, you don't need to answer that. No, seriously, don't.

Well, here is my review of Watch the Simpsons Online which has most of The Simpsons episodes on it. It is completely free and easy enough to use, search the archive, look at a random episode, or watch one of the ones featured on the front page. It has a pretty good speed most of the time and good quality on the newer episodes. You don't need an account or to pay them and the videos can be seen from places outside the U.S.

The only couple of problems that I have found are that the older episodes aren't really high quality and that some episodes are missing.

Now go and enjoy some of the finest from this awesome show!

P.S. I should really write more often huh...

taking back sunday

today i was flipping channels on my tv, of course while procrastinating when i passed by mtv... anyways i saw a video of a band who had black goo poured on them while playing. I thought how fucking unoriginal! i mean, i was instantly reminded of the strokes and the "you only live once" video . yeah, that was a damn cool video, theyre all dressed in white and black liquid pours on them and they keep playing. an awesome idea for a video, right? well i guess tbs agrees with me.

okay, back to the story, i was reminded of the video and then i have to endure the remaining eternity (or half a minute, whatever) of music because i'm dying to figure out who would have such an original idea, who would have thought of that before?!?! (note the sarcasm). it turns out its taking back sunday. oh geez just because the goop you used was slightly more -gooey and they used a red background and some kind of audience doesn't mean that its different. or maybe i don't know what i'm talking about but i would guess that i am right this time. i'm also thinking that this is some sort of visual pun for the title of the song "sink into me", get it? its called sink into me and they sink into something, get it? get it?!?! of course you do, unless you didn't in which case, you're welcome.

Well, in conclusion, the video is not too bad but it could have been better you know, at least not the copy of some other work and i prefer the strokes' video... however, tbs don't suck and Adam (thats the lead singer, right?) is way hott ;)
